Three children: Russell (48), psychiatrist for the Vet.Adm. in Chico CA, two children (grandchildren for us): Gabriel and Esequiel (Gabe & Zeke); Cathleen (47), married, works for Kroger Company, lives in Hidden Valley, member of Greendale church; Susan (44), hospice nurse, lives in Harrison, two children (grandchildren to us): Nicholas and Brooke.
     
Hometown   Born in our country home in Scott County, KY, near Stamping Ground.
     
Educational Background   Stamping Ground High School (1955); Cincinnati Bible Seminary, A.B. (1959), Th.B. (1960); University of Cincinnati, A.B. in philosophy (1962); Westminster Theological Seminary, M.Div. (1965); Princeton Theological Seminary, Ph.D. in history of doctrine (1971).
     
Career Background   Have taught theology for the graduate school at Cincinnati Bible Seminary (Cincinnati Christian University) since 1967 (42 years).

Best Part about my Job   Constantly being in the Bible: studying it and teaching it.
     
Interesting Things to Know  

Had (non-paralyzing) polio when six years old (1944). As a senior in high school: won a Farm Bureau scholarship to study agriculture, but turned it down to attend Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Have written 20 books. Once owned a mail-order used religious book business called CUBE: Christian Used Book Exchange (books could be mailed at book rate then: 8 cents a pound). Married three sisters, divorced none, and all are still living.

Working with Go Ye Chapel, helped start five new churches in the Philadelphia area while attending Westminster and Princeton.
